Wow! Check out this luxury prepper’s paradise in Texas

(Bugout.news) As most survival-oriented folks know, there are varying levels of preparedness, ranging from the most basic – a bugout bag and a weapon – to the very elaborate… to the ridiculously lavish.

As noted by Realtor.com, there is a home in Texas that qualifies for the latter. Call it a “prepper’s paradise.”

Located in Possum Kingdom Lake, it is much more than just a great place to enjoy the good life. In addition to its traditional amenities, the home is also the perfect survival location if good living suddenly comes quickly to an end.

Coming in at just under $1 million ($985,000) the three-bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home features an entire basement that serves as a fallout shelter capable of sustaining a dozen people for years to come. And what’s more, from the outside no one would ever know what a survival palace it really is.

“From the main level of the home you are totally unaware that all of this is there,” said listing agent Dee Dee Jordan with Pondera Properties.

She referenced the 1,000-square-foot bunker that comfortably accommodates 12 while incorporating a military-style bunk bed system. What’s more, it’s secure: The walls are reinforced with steel, and a periscope viewing system allows inhabitants to see what is coming their way long before they arrive.

More from Realtor.com:

The bunker is outfitted with everything you need to survive in style, without having to venture topside, for years to come.

The house comes with an NBC filter system to provide fresh air. If that fails, there are “six compressed air tanks for backup oxygen,” says Jordan.

To keep the lights on, the heat churning, and the food cooking, there are tracking solar panels, a backup generator, and a 1,000-gallon propane tank.

Speaking of food, the home comes with a fully stocked pantry of MRE’s and other survival meals – enough to feed 12 for 10 years. But inhabitants won’t simply be limited to pre-packaged survival food; there are also hydroponics installed.

“There is an Ebb Monster system for growing plants,” Jordan says.

In addition, there is a full living space – bathroom, kitchen, lounge area and laundry room.

And if the house above is overrun, “There are two additional hidden escape hatches in the bunker for exit in the event of damage to the primary entrance,” Jordan said.
